Grave heads!
Drawing the roster Image for my NPW main character, Grave, I noticed he wasn’t very expressive. So I decided to sketch out some expressions for him and really push those expressions while still having him look like a skeleton.
Did a little research by looking at old “Silly Symphonies” cartoons.
Added eyebrow lines to him which really helped with the expressions a lot.
Also experimented with the shape and direction of the lines on his mouth, which was very interesting how different he looks when his mouth’s lines curve a certain way.
Also, I now have an inventory of expressions I could use when I’m in a jam!
